Hello fellow photography enthusiasts, 

My name is Rachel Oldsberg and I am the face behind Just Your Average Photographer blog.  I created this blog to be a safe creative outlet to showcase my work and to connect with those who share the same passion 📸

                                                                                  

I am currently a third semester nursing student and business owner of  Steelrain Photography. Photography has always been a passion of mine. This passion has really opened my eyes to the world around me and given me opportunities I never thought were feasible. Back in 2015, I was given two awards from the Scholastic Art and Writing Contest. One was an honorable mention, and the other was the gold key award for my photography. To my surprise, the gold key award is only given to those who display great excellence through their use of digital work and go on to compete on a national level in New York City. When my life doesn't revolve around living in my scrubs or learning all things medicine, you can find me glued to my camera or on the couch watching Netflix with my cat Vivian.
